For the oceanfront look of beautiful silver gray shingles, Weathering Stain is the right choice. This PPG machine applied coating includes aging accelerants to enhance the natural process of Western Red Cedar turning a beautiful silver-gray tone. Results will vary on the amount of time these shingles will take to weather based on climate conditions. For best and fastest results Weathering Stain shingles should be specified for homes that receive a large amount of sunlight and a limited amount of shade.

This PPG machine applied coating is a tinted clear solution that provides protection against the elements. Maximum Cedartone shingles are on the ground at Coastal and ready for prompt shipment. Recoating will be necessary to maintain the natural look every 3-5 years and results will vary based on climate conditions.
